1. Who can use Winston House?

Winston House’s primary users will be members of the University of North Carolina’s Chapel Hill community, but we welcome use of the facilities by other institutions, including those in London as well as the United States. We encourage those who are interested in using Winston House to contact us for further discussion.

2.
Which space at Winston House is most suitable for my group?

Winston House is approximately 4,400 square feet in size and includes three classrooms, two seminar rooms, two faculty offices or offices for administrative space, a library/administrative office, a student reading room with computer lab, a small kitchen, a patio garden, and a faculty residential suite consisting of two bedrooms, a living/dining room, a kitchen, and a bathroom.

Each group will have its own specific needs; we encourage you to take the virtual tour at http://winstonhouse.unc.edu/index.php/explore/tour.

In general, larger groups will want to book the Peter T. and Laura M. Grauer Seminar Room (101), or combine that room with the Robert M. Lowery and Alan R. Pike Classroom (102) for a generous combined space. Smaller groups may wish to book 102 alone. Groups with plans to use a great deal of multimedia may choose to book LG-01, Winston House’s Media Room.

If you aren’t sure where your group best fits, please contact us for further discussion.
